"There has been a lot of
hands-on experience and I have had wonderful opportunities to share
the Gospel. What I have appreciated most is the time to build
significant friendships. Through door-to-door visitation I got
to know a lovely family who have welcomed me again and again into
their home to study the Bible. There is always plenty of cake
too!" Chris
"This has been a year of much
growing in knowledge and faith. A lady, whom Chris and I had
visited many times, said to us one day, 'Don't give up on me'.
This taught me just how important perseverance is. I thank God
for getting me through this year. It has helped shape the rest
of my life. I now want to serve God wherever he places me."
Matt
"I have benefited through being
involved in a wide range of ministry - from the homeless at the Care
Centre, to children at the Bible exhibitions, to the elderly at
Elderlink and in district work. Above all, I enjoyed preaching
from the box in the open airs and the opportunity to share the
Gospel with people from all nations." Jordan
"I knew 'works' were completely
unnecessary for my salvation and yet I had lived for years as though
the opposite were true. When I became ill after two terms, the
teaching I received sank in. I understood that God loved me in
my sickness as much as when I had worked full-time for Him.
This brought me real freedom in Christ Jesus." Ali
"How could I stand in front of
people in the heart of Birmingham? The dream of proclaiming
the Gospel to the people came true, although it was not easy.
There were many times of discouragement because of the language but
God gave me His promise and His strength." Jun
